Work it out yourself
The strongest local operator here owns the phrase "guaranteed approved clean" and promises a free return visit if anything is missing. That is a good promise, and we make the same one. The difference lies elsewhere: they sell by the hour, and then you do not know the final sum until the job is finished.
At NOK 87 per square metre you know it before you book. A 75-square-metre flat on one floor with one bathroom costs NOK 6,525, however long we take. If we take longer than planned, that is our risk and not your invoice.
The formula is the same everywhere: square metres times 87, plus 30 per cent per floor beyond the first and 15 per cent per bathroom beyond the first. The only location-dependent element is the travel fee, and that is a published rate too.

The area
Central Holmestrand has gained a substantial amount of new flats by the station. These are compact homes with little floor area, often one bathroom and one floor — exactly the type where a square-metre rate produces the lowest and most predictable final sum.
Sande i Vestfold and Bjerkøya are something else: detached houses and holiday properties with more exterior surface, more floors and more weather on the walls. There, façade washing and roof cleaning give the most back, and both are priced after inspection because condition and access decide.
